Clad in the kashta sari, Tanushree had a blast dancing to the folk number in ‘Risk’.Tanushree Dutta’s lavani (popular music form of Maharashtra) number ‘Mala lagali konachi hitchki’ in Vishram Sawant’s forthcoming film ‘Risk’ is racing up the musical charts.
Tanushree, who plays a dancer in the film, has undergone around nine changes in this song.
Interestingly, all the costumes have been designed by Vishram. Speaking on this peppy lavani, Vishram says, “The film is an on-the-edge -the-seat thriller. We have brought in this lavani as a relief element. It’s based on the famous Marathi song ‘Hichki’.”
He adds, “The movie is based in Maharashtra. So the song reinforces the local flavour.”
Actor Tanushree says, ‘I am very excited about the song. Actors from Helenji to Dia Mirza have danced to a lavani. It was a nice experience to wear the kashta (the nine yard sari) and the Maharashtrian nath (nose accessory).” DNA
